Oh how I've missed you Blog......

Ok, yes I know it's been over a week since my last post.....I'm sorry. The only positive is it was because I have been so busy with my kids and of course my work at home job. Last week was a very eventful week for me professionally. As you saw on my last post I participated in the Social Media Trends webinar with Mari Smith, which was fabulous. But on Tuesday I also participated in the 5 Critical Tactics for Business Blog Success with Denise Wakeman teleseminar. If anyone is unsure of who Denise is, well she is THE blog guru. She is definitely the one to follow. I learned so much about what to post, how to post, how often to post, how to drive visibility to your blog amongst other things. Follow Denise at @BlogSquad and take a look at her webpage for additional fabulous information and upcoming teleseminars

I'll be back tomorrow after I attend my next class...hmmmm...what shall it be??....

Fantastic webinar today!

I attended a fantastic webinar today titled "Social Media Trends and How to Prosper Now as a Professional in the Industry" hosted by ISMA President, Mari Smith. If you are not familiar with Mari you can see her bio along with the rest of the Board of Advisors for ISMA here She has been pegged the “the Pied Piper of the Online World” by

Social media is just all the craze right now with applications such as Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace and LinkdIn to name a few. It is said that email and even company websites will eventually be obsolete compared to social marketing. I am so happy to have jumped on the bandwagan of social media in the hopes to create exposure for my budding virtual assistant career! Thanks Mari!

Could it be...Monday?

Could it be Monday already??? That was the first thought that came to me this morning. Not unlike many of you, Mondays seem to come so quickly. The great thing is that I no longer have those Monday blues. Why do you ask?? Firstly, I wake up daily feeling so blessed for my wonderful family and two happy and healthy babes. Secondly (except for yesterdays loss) I am pumped from my NY Giants' win. Thirdly I am truly happy with my job. I know that this makes me extremely lucky to actually love what I do, but I really do! There is something about holding your own destiny and of course income in your own hands. I wake up knowing that the more I accomplish, the more I feel I'm contributing to my home. If you don't think you can can. So I wish all of you to be as blessed and happy as I am on these Monday mornings!

Ok, so we made it through a night with nobody waking up! Well actually that isn't true Pippin (my cat) conveniently sat on my chest face to face to let me know he wanted out. So even with my 2 1/2 year old and my 1 year old oh yes and my husband staying asleep....I end up being the one woken up.....all in a (mother's) days work....

Did I mention I work from home?! I have the best job in the world, I am a virtual assistant. Now what the heck is that, you might be asking. Well, I assist my client with a wide range of tasks right from my home office...and with a 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old and cat and dog and dishes and laundry and vacuuming....shall I go on LOL. Yes it is extremely hard but I am truly blessed to be able to do what I do so I can take care of all that I mentioned above.

Having made it through a practically entire nights sleep I'm ready to get to work and accomplish what I need today.
